De La Salle opened strong, scoring four straight goals before the Giants brought the gap to 4–5 by the end of the second quarter. Despite the Giants gaining confidence, after halftime the momentum shifted back to De La Salle, who pulled away with eight unanswered goals to seal a dominant 15–4 final.
